4J Studios ha annunciato, tramite Twitter, che Minecraft arriverà finalmente su PS Vita la prossima settimana. Grazie al cross-buy, inoltre, chi ha acquistato Minecraft su PS3 avrà accesso gratuitamente anche alla versione PS Vita. Per chi invece ha acquistato la versione PS4 di Minecraft, potrà acquistare le versioni PS3/PS Vita con un forte sconto.

Inoltre, 4J Studios ha comunicato che stanno lavorando per portare le versioni console di Minecraft allo stesso livello di quella PC, ma questo è un processo che richiederà più tempo per essere portato a termine.
